Hey Guys

Well hello there. Let me do the generic "Hello my name is... blah blah", as much as I know you all probably hate it I feel like it is the best way to get started.

My name is Sam, I'm a student in the UK and I have always had an interest in blogging, just never really got around to it until now, and well, here I am.

I plan on updating this blog around once a day, just on what's happening in the world (as you can tell) and anything of any real interest to me.

The Earthquake / Tsunami in Japan is the obvious place to start, with the death toll at over 1,300 people, and is expected to rise to 10,000 I really do feel for those affected. I'm not quite sure why the UK is the first country to send search and rescue teams, considering that our experience of Earthquakes is around about 0, but hey at least we're trying. I'm going to keep this first post short as you've all probably read about this disaster far too much already and I'm a bit behind, but I'll be back tomorrow, and I'll start following some of you guys soon (reading blogs is a brilliant way to pass the rest of my weekend, I'm just so cool like that) but yeah, thanks for taking the time to read this. Sam.
